I have seen quite a few golden eagles and white tailed sea eagles around Scotland over the years, but they were always a bit far away to get a good shot. So Nadin and I went on an 80 year old boat for a 6 hour trip along Loch Shiel, near Glenfinnan to get a bit closer. We got up so close, it was hard to get them in focus and in frame with the long lenses. We saw three different males during the boat trip, watching them pluck mackerel out of the water and fly away to a pine tree branch and have their breakfast.
